Hi. Welcome to my blog. My name is Keith Semmel and I host a weekly (sometimes twice-weekly) radio show called "Strictly the Sixties" on WCCR, 94.5 FM, the radio station of the University of the Cumberlands. This goofy little show has become a very important part of my life. I thought I knew a lot about the music of the 1960s when I started the program five years ago, but I have learned a lot! Every few weeks I discover another great "lost" band or under appreciated album that I missed the first time around. Yes, I'm that old! And that's the real reason for starting this blog; I want to share some of my discoveries with you and invite you to do the same. I hope this will be a forum for sharing comments and questions about all kinds of sixties music: pop, rock, soul, country, psychedelic, folk, progressive, instrumental, garage, surf, reggae, bubble-gum and everything in between. Beginners as well as "seasoned veterans" are welcome to comment here. If you love the music of the 1960s and enjoy talking about it with other fans, I hope you will find this a fun and informative blog. Thanks for reading!
